Lyft Inc. is launching a new loyalty program that combines ride credits with a DoorDash Inc. membership, strengthening its subscription offering against rival Uber Technologies Inc. The program packages benefits from two separate services under one monthly or annual payment.

The Lyft Go With DashPass program will give riders 8% back in credits, according to a statement Thursday. Customers can redeem those credits on future Lyft trips or DoorDash orders.

The membership costs $9.99 a month or $96 a year. That monthly price matches the cost of Uber One, placing the competing programs at the same basic monthly price point.

Lyft Go With DashPass replaces the similarly priced Lyft Pink membership. Current members will move to the new program automatically and will not face an additional charge for the transfer.

The new membership changes the benefits available to customers who use Lyft operated bikes and scooters. Lyft Go will not provide free access to those transportation options, including Citi Bike in the New York area.

Customers seeking free unlocks and other bike and scooter benefits will instead need the Lyft Pink All Access tier. That membership will remain available as an annual subscription priced at $199.

Lyft is also introducing a less expensive monthly option called Lyft Go Core. Priced at $4.99 a month, the plan will provide 5% back in credits that customers can redeem on Lyft rides.

The new structure gives customers a choice between a ride focused plan and a broader program tied to DoorDash. The less expensive option offers credits for Lyft rides, while the $9.99 plan extends redemption to DoorDash orders and includes a DoorDash membership.

The launch deepens the partnership between Lyft and DoorDash. The companies have worked together since 2024, offering discounts across their respective services.

Lyft does not operate a food delivery service, which has limited its ability to mirror the mix of ride and delivery benefits offered through Uber One. Adding a DoorDash membership that waives delivery fees could make Lyft’s subscription more comparable and help attract riders.

Uber has identified subscriptions as an important source of financial growth. During earnings remarks Wednesday, the company said its 55 million Uber One members contribute more than half of its total gross bookings.

Uber One also costs $9.99 a month. Its benefits include 5% back on rides through Uber credits, no delivery fee and discounts on orders.

Lyft’s new main program offers a higher stated credit rate on eligible activity, providing 8% back compared with the 5% ride credit offered by Uber One. The Lyft program allows those credits to be used for future trips or DoorDash orders.

The annual Lyft Go With DashPass price of $96 gives customers another payment option beyond the $9.99 monthly plan. Lyft Pink All Access remains the more expensive choice for customers who want bike and scooter benefits in addition to the company’s other membership features.

The three membership choices now cover different customer priorities. Lyft Go Core centers on ride credits, Lyft Go With DashPass combines rides with DoorDash, and Lyft Pink All Access retains free unlocks and other bike and scooter perks.

For DoorDash, the arrangement places its membership inside Lyft’s loyalty program rather than requiring Lyft to build a food delivery operation. For Lyft, the collaboration adds delivery benefits to its subscription while relying on the partnership that the two companies established in 2024.

The program also gives Lyft a direct answer to the combination of transportation and delivery benefits available through Uber One. Both primary plans carry the same $9.99 monthly price, but they differ in credit rates and how their delivery benefits are provided.

Existing Lyft Pink members will not need to initiate the change themselves because the transfer is automatic. Customers who value bike and scooter access, however, will need the $199 annual Lyft Pink All Access subscription to retain free unlocks and related perks.
